Access to high-performance computing infrastructure, artificial intelligence services and specialised expertise is becoming increasingly important for research, businesses and public administration. These topics are being discussed from 22 to 24 September at EuroHPC User Days 2026, organised in Dublin by the European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking – EuroHPC JU.
ICI Bucharest participated in the International Summer School “The Use of Digital Twin and Artificial Intelligence Tools in Aquaculture”, held in Constanța from 7 to 11 September 2026. As part of the programme, the institute organised, through the BSC AI Factory project, the “Experiment Tracking for Computer Vision” training session, a practical course designed to help participants better organise their experiments and obtain results that are easier to track and reproduce.
ICI Bucharest took part in Cyber Readiness Day with a presentation focused on how organizations can assess their level of preparedness in the face of cyber threats. In the presentation “Cyber Readiness: A Consolidated Framework,” the ICI Bucharest representative introduced an approach based on organizational maturity, ranging from a reactive response to incidents to the ability to anticipate threats and adapt continuously.

Dr. Eng. Adrian-Victor Vevera, General Director of ICI Bucharest, attended the meeting of the “Romania in the EU” Strategic Reflection Group (RUE), on Wednesday, 16 September 2026, at Cotroceni Palace. The meeting focused on the theme “Romania in the era of artificial intelligence and advanced technologies. A national, European and global perspective”, and the first part of the discussions was also attended by the President of Romania, Nicușor Dan.
The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest hosted today, 15 September 2026, the interactive training session “AI Act in Practice: From Legislative Requirements to Implementation”, organised as part of the BSC AI Factory Incubation Programme – Call 2.
Dr. Eng. Adrian-Victor Vevera, General Director of the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest, met with His Excellency Takashi Katae, Ambassador of Japan to Romania, and with the Embassy’s team of specialists.
