Starting 1st of September 2020, the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest represents Romania in “EuroHPC-04-2019 - HPC (High Performance Computing) Competence Centres”
The contributions of ICI Bucharest to the introduction of the Internet in Romania: 1992 – The setting up of the first IP local register in Romania aiming at the IP address assignment for the Internet users from Romania, in collaboration with RIPE from Amsterdam; 1993 – Connecting the first users from the country to ROEARN (universities, research institutes).
Today, on the 15th of January 2020, Marian Murguleț, Secretary of State for Information Technology - Government Chief Information Officer of Romania, and Victor Vevera, Technical Director of the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics, participated at the first operationalization meeting of CYBER INFLUENCE ASSESSMENT AND STRATEGIES CENTER (“CIASC”).
The International Conference on Defence, Security and Information for the European Union started today, at the Parliament Palace, a premiere event in Bucharest.
