Today, November 27, 2023, the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics - ICI Bucharest participated in the national conference to launch the RO 3.0 project - Vision of the Future, powered by Antena 3 CNN and Vodafone Romania. The initiation of the RO 3.0 project coincides with the inaugural session of a series of debates that will define Romania for the next seven years, a debate opened by the Prime Minister of Romania, Mr. Marcel Ciolacu.
Adrian-Victor Vevera, the general director of ICI Bucharest, presented the institute's main fields of activity, discussing the year 2030 in perspective: "Digitalization is part of all sectors of activity, from construction to health, from the education area to the retail side, the energy area, etc. Thus, the benefits of the research carried out at ICI Bucharest for the end user can be summed up in an easier life: an easier interaction between the citizen and the institutions, benefits in the health area - decreasing the operationalization times of some medical technologies together with digital ones and decreasing the time of interaction between doctor and patient, predictability in establishing a diagnosis, generating new drugs, faster and more efficient results in what technology transfer means. In 7 years, given the technological progress that exists and that will lead to major changes in what the area of education and professional training means, new jobs will be needed that, at this moment, we cannot fully identify, but we must be prepared so that we can implement them successfully when the need arises."
The distinguished representatives who took the floor aimed to outline their vision of where their company/organization will be in 2030. They explored the trajectory of their respective fields in 2030 and the future landscape of Romania. In this collective exploration, the role of technology in our lives in the coming years and the visions of large companies for the digitization of Romania were analyzed.
The event brought together opinion leaders, people from various professional backgrounds and innovators who want to change the face of Romania.
