ICI Bucharest is present at the Climate Neutrality Forum, an event dedicated to accelerating the green transition of Romanian cities. The Forum, which takes place between October 29 - 30, 2024, at the MINA Museum in Bucharest, brings together experts and representatives from the public and private sectors to support the achievement of climate neutrality in Romania.
The event, organized as part of the M100 Mirror Mission initiative, is a landmark in national efforts to align with the European objectives for 2030, which foresee the transition of 100 smart and climate-neutral cities. During the two days, the Forum presents innovative solutions and hosts discussion sessions and workshops designed to inspire and educate participants on sustainability.
The first day marked the announcement of the 10 Romanian cities selected to be part of the M100 Mirror Mission. The winning cities will have the opportunity to benefit from concrete support in the transition process towards climate neutrality, in accordance with European standards. The second day of the Forum is dedicated to strategies for strengthening capacities and announcing the M100 Coalition, an initiative that will support collaboration between Romanian cities involved in the green transition.
ICI Bucharest actively contributes to this event, supporting the green transition through digital solutions. The institute's participation underlines its commitment to assisting Romanian cities to adopt the latest technologies for a sustainable future.
The Forum is part of the project "Towards Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities through Mutual Learning, Engagement and Capacity-Building", implemented by UEFISCDI in partnership with Urbanize Hub, the Romanian Order of Architects, the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Nordic Edge and RANNIS – Research Center in Iceland.
