Adrian-Victor Vevera, General Director of the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest, participated on Thursday, 27 August 2026, in the 2026 Cyber Defense Summit: Technological Sovereignty and Resilience, where he delivered the presentation “AI, Quantum Technologies and Cyber Diplomacy: The Last Mile of a National Technology Roadmap?”
Today, 19 August 2026, ICI Bucharest organised the event “ICI Open Labs: From the Laboratory to Real Life”, during which 50 participants in the Official Internship Programme of the Government of Romania discovered some of the projects and technologies developed by the Institute’s teams.
The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest, represented by Adrian-Victor Vevera, General Director, took part in the 14th edition of Haferland Week, an event dedicated to the heritage and traditions of the Transylvanian Saxons. This year’s edition, held under the theme “Longing for Transylvania”, brought together local communities, guests from Romania and abroad, representatives of institutions, and visitors across the Haferland region.
ICI Bucharest, in partnership with the ICI Research & Innovation Foundation, took part in the 2026 edition of the “Pietroșița Renaște – Preot Ioan Oprea” Summer School, where they delivered an introductory artificial intelligence course and organised a virtual reality activity for children.
The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest participated, on July 28, 2026, in the round table "Local Performance in the Digital Era", organized by the GP Association and Ghidul Primăriilor within the CyberSea Festival.
