October 3rd 2019, Nicosia
The final event of the Interreg Europe HoCare project (Delivery of innovative solutions for Home Care by strengthening quadruple-helix cooperation in regional innovation chains) was successfully organized in Nicosia, Cyprus, on Thursday, October 3rd, 2019. Under the title “HoCare High Level Political Dissemination Event”, the event was organized under the aegis of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Constantinos Ioannou.
The event was attended by high officials from all the partner regions, as well as by representatives of ministries, local authorities, relevant local NGOs, universities and private entities. The high-level representatives from Romania who participated at the event were: Mr. Dan Dumitrescu – State Secretary, Ministry of Health, Mr. Dănuț Alexandru Potor – State Secretary, Ministry of European Funds, Mrs. Svetlana Gomboș – General Director of the Managing Authority for Competitiveness Operational Programme, along with the HoCare team of the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest, led by PhD. Cyb. Ec. Math. Mrs. Gabriela Florescu.
In the first part, the speeches were delivered by Mr. Christos Pittaras – President of ANEL and Mayor of Latsia, by Mrs. Konstantia Konstantinou – representative of the Directorate General for European Programmes, Coordination and Development, by Mr. Ierotheos Papadopoulos – Head of the European Commission Representation Office in Cyprus and by Mr. Andreas Xenofontos – Director of Nursing Services at the Ministry of Health.
Mrs. Mar Martin, HoCare Policy Officer and representative of the Joint Secretariat of the Interreg Programme, gave a brief presentation about the goals and the results of the Interreg Europe Programme that have been achieved so far.
The next part of the event agenda consisted of a brief overview of the HoCare project made by Mr. Eleftherios Loizou, the project coordinator and the representative of Nicosia Development Agency – ANEL, Cyprus, and by a brief presentation about the exchange of experience within the project, made by Mr. Michal Štefan, the representative of DEX Innovation Centre in the Czech Republic.
During the main part of the event, all the partners from the 8 participating countries presented the impact of the results of the HoCare project in their region in relation to the improvement of their regional policy.
One fact that was continuously outlined in speeches and presentations was the high-quality level of the HoCare project implementation, the result of an excellent cooperation between 8 partners, and the high level of the project success in the improvement of the regional policy instruments.
