In the Council Room of the Central University Library in Bucharest was held the event “The role of eGovernment in sustainable development”

The event was organized by the Institute of Management and Sustainable Development (IMDD) as coordinator of the Subgroup UNPLAN “eGovernment for Sustainable Development”, which is part of the WSIS Action Line (World Summit on the Information Society) C7 (ICT applications: benefits to all segments of society) component eGovernment. They were presented and analyzed research results on the impact of public services on sustainable development internationally. The survey was conducted during 2010-2011 in 15 countries and included 320 respondents in Romania, including participants from ICI. The results are part of the UN report which will be presented at the 6th edition of the WSIS Forum, 18 May 2011 Geneva.Au held debates involving interventions: Andreea Paul-Vass, adviser to Prime Minister Emil Boc ; Varujan Pambuccian Commission for Information Technology and Telecommunications of the Romanian Parliament; Mireille Radoi, director of the Central University Library; Andreea Toma Stoiciu and Cimpoieşu; IMMD; Doina Banciu, CEO ICI and Adriana Alexander, Head of eGovernment ICI.
