On Thursday, June 22, 2017, at the ICI headquarters in Bucharest, Dr. eng. Vlad Ciobanu (Head of Works at the Polytechnic University of Bucharest - Faculty of Automation and Computers), presented the DOCKER virtualization method - an engine that allows the encapsulation of any application in a portable container that can be manipulated using standard operations and that can be run on any hardware platform.
In the first part, he presented detailed aspects regarding the mode of operation and use and the principles underlying the DOCKER system. He also highlighted both its advantages and disadvantages as well as its importance in the research field. Subsequently, case studies were presented, exemplifying how to use the DOCKER method.
The presentation was followed by a Q&A session.
