Between 12-13 May 2022, the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics - ICI Bucharest participates in the second edition of the INNOCONSTRUCT International Conference, which focuses on defining the steps, framework and tools needed to accelerate digital transformation in the sector , as a continuation of the debate generated last year.
The first day of the conference focused on the presentation of real data related to the digital maturity of the sector, strong case studies on the adoption of BIM (Building Information Modeling) in companies from different subsectors of industry, smart technologies and solutions, industry trends. And tomorrow is dedicated to roundtable discussions on specific aspects of the digital transformation, from the development of digital skills, methods of adopting BIM, improving energy efficiency, to financial opportunities for companies that want to become more digital.
The General Director of ICI Bucharest, Adrian Victor Vevera, discussed the challenges and obstacles that must be overcome in order to accelerate the digitization process, the way in which the institution he leads aims to contribute in this process, as well as the steps which should be followed in the transition to a more automated industry.
The INNOCONSTRUCT conference brings together large and small companies from various subsectors of the construction industry and also technology companies, universities from various countries, representatives of the European Commission, government and local authorities, relevant NGOs of the social partners, construction groups from different Member States and representatives of expert bodies and networks, to ensure that all stakeholders contribute to the dialogue.
