ICI Bucharest’s Participation in the BRD AI Hackathon – The Future We Build

The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest participated in the BRD AI Hackathon – The Future We Build, an event dedicated to analysing the role of artificial intelligence in transforming processes and working models within the banking sector.

Held on January 28–29, 2026, the event brought together specialists from various fields, providing a collaborative framework for testing and developing ideas and solutions based on artificial intelligence, with a focus on experience sharing and hands-on learning.

ICI Bucharest was represented on the panel dedicated to technology and innovation, where topics such as the impact of human–AI collaboration on product development, process improvement, and business experience were discussed, as well as the importance of responsible adoption of new technologies. The institute’s involvement in the BSC AI Factory project was also highlighted.

The hackathon agenda included presentations and debates on the use of artificial intelligence as a support tool for decision-making, the acceleration of learning, and the optimisation of organisational activities. Participation in the BRD AI Hackathon – The Future We Build aligns with ICI Bucharest’s efforts to support dialogue among the research environment, academia, and the private sector, and to promote the efficient and responsible use of artificial intelligence in the context of digital transformation.
