On Thursday, May 9, 2024, ICI Bucharest was present at Planet Day Bucharest: Executive Seminar, organized by Planet and the Commercial Service of the US Embassy in Romania. The theme was "Supporting Sustainability and Regional Economic Development with Earth Observation Data".
The seminar brought together representatives from the government sector, business, and academic institutions to discuss the importance of Earth observation technologies and how they can support the economic and sustainable development of regions.
The topics covered were the importance of earth observation technologies, the introduction of planetary variables for water management, forestry and meteorology, large-scale agricultural monitoring, earth observation for smart cities and economic activities.
The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics - ICI Bucharest participated on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, in the round table on the theme "Public Policies for Space Romania", organised by the AGORA Center for Democracy and the Romanian Space Initiative, with the support of the Industry and Services Committee of the Chamber of Deputies.
On Wednesday, April 1, 2026, the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest received a visit from the members of the Alexandria Local Youth Council (CLTA), a group of approximately 40 students.
The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest participated in the conference “Secure EU: Informed Youth in a Safer Europe”, held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at the headquarters of the European Parliament Liaison Office in Romania, in the Titulescu Hall.
