The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest participated as a partner in the Digital Romania Forum, an event organised by Financial Intelligence with the support of the Romanian National Cyber Security Directorate. The 8th edition of the forum took place on June 16, 2026, bringing together members of the IT&C sector, entrepreneurs, diplomats, government representatives, and specialists to debate the latest trends in technology and digitalisation.
As a speaker at this event, the ICI Bucharest representative discussed the latest opportunities and challenges in digitalisation and the relationship between AI and cybersecurity, and emphasised the importance of responsible technology use in organisations by raising awareness. It was also mentioned that ICI Bucharest is the hosting entity of RO AI Factory, a project that will provide high-performance computing infrastructure for companies and institutions.
The agenda of this event included topics such as Romania's digital transformation, governance of the government cloud platform, digital service platforms offered by the state, cybersecurity, cyber resilience and digital education.
