The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest is present at Moldova Digital Summit 2026, an event taking place between June 5–6, 2026, in Chisinau. The institute’s delegation is led by Adrian-Victor Vevera, General Director of ICI Bucharest, and its participation continues the institute's dialogue with institutional and academic partners across the Prut on digitalisation, research, and innovation.
On the sidelines of the event, the General Director of ICI Bucharest met with Eugeniu Osmochescu, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization of the Republic of Moldova. For ICI Bucharest, the summit is a chance to continue exchanging ideas with partners from Chisinau and to explore new directions in areas already on the institute's agenda, such as digital public services, cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, artificial intelligence, and digital skills.
"Cooperation with entities from the Republic of Moldova is natural, given the closeness between the two states and the common themes in the area of digital transformation. Moldova Digital Summit provides a framework for applied discussions and for identifying new projects that can bring concrete results", said Adrian-Victor Vevera, General Director of ICI Bucharest.
Moldova Digital Summit brings together representatives of public administration, the private sector, international organizations, and the tech community, with a program that includes debates, presentations, workshops, and meetings between institutions, companies, and experts, focusing on new directions in digital transformation.
