ICI Bucharest participates in the Global Cybersecurity Forum in Saudi Arabia

The National Institute for Research & Development in Informatics (ICI Bucharest) is participating, between November 9-10, 2022, at the Global Cybersecurity Forum with the theme "Rethinking the Global Cyber Order" in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Adrian-Victor Vevera, the general director of the institute, was invited to participate in the debate on the topic of the competition: Fierce Competition - The Battle Over Cyber Talent and the Driving Forces of Talent Concentration, together with Flavio Aggio, Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), World Health Organization, and George Patsis, CEO, Obrela Security Industries. The panel was moderated by Sasha Qadri, journalist.

"Competition on the job market in the cybersecurity sector is challenging, but as a solution to this situation, we started working with young people in internships, some of them choosing to continue their professional careers within the institute. Having internal training capabilities, we offer training in cybersecurity within ICI Bucharest, but also externally, so that the human resource is very well prepared. Unfortunately, the accelerated growth of cybercrime is obvious. And companies that do not invest in people specialized in cybersecurity are widening the gaps in this area." Adrian-Victor Vevera said during the forum.

The event brings together leading experts from government, the private sector, civil society, and academia to catalyze socio-economic change toward a safer cyberspace and advance the global cybersecurity agenda.
