ICI Bucharest participated in the Cluj Innovation Days on Friday, May 29, 2026. The institute was represented by Dr. Eng. Adrian-Victor Vevera, General Director, who was invited to the keynote speeches session. His intervention addressed the development of the national artificial intelligence ecosystem, focusing on interoperability, infrastructure, and the skills needed for the next stage of AI development.
ICI Bucharest's participation in the event reflects its involvement in AI projects, including RO AI Factory, where it serves as the hosting entity. Thus, the institute contributes to the development of national capacities in AI and to Romania's alignment with European directions in this field.
“Through RO AI Factory, ICI Bucharest assumes a concrete role in building the national artificial intelligence ecosystem. We are talking about an open framework in which research, the private sector, the administration, academia, and innovation communities can work together. RO AI Factory is not an isolated project. Still, an infrastructure around which we want to bring relevant skills, solutions and partnerships for our country”, stated Dr. Eng. Adrian-Victor Vevera, General Director of ICI Bucharest.
An important moment of ICI Bucharest’s presence at Cluj Innovation Days 2026 was the signing of a collaboration agreement between ICI Bucharest and CLUJ IT Cluster. The agreement opens new areas of cooperation between the two organisations, including artificial intelligence, digitalisation, technological infrastructure, and skills development. Through this partnership, ICI Bucharest and the Cluj IT Cluster will strengthen ties among research, the private sector, and innovation communities, as collaboration across the digital ecosystem becomes more important.
Cluj Innovation Days 2026 brought together representatives of the technological environment, companies, innovation organisations, and institutions involved in digital transformation. The event included interventions and debates on the role of skills in the era of artificial intelligence, the adaptation of organisations to new technologies, and the development directions of digital ecosystems.
