ICI Bucharest participated in the Aspen - GMF Bucharest Forum

ICI Bucharest participated in the 13th edition of Aspen – GMF Bucharest Forum, an event organized by the Aspen Institute Romania and the German Marshall Fund of the United States, held between October 24 and 25, 2024, in Bucharest. This flagship forum for public diplomacy is of strategic importance in the Black Sea region, bringing together global and regional political leaders, top representatives of the private sector and renowned experts.

The event provided a platform for topical and challenging debates, addressing complex themes in a dynamic and volatile regional and international context. This year's edition analyzed the impact of new emerging technologies on national economies and security, energy and technological trends and their implications for global markets, challenges to transatlantic relations in the context of the US elections and the effects of Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine on stability regional.

On the forum's sidelines, ICI Bucharest also participated in the round table organized by Aspen Institute Romania, in partnership with Qualcomm, on the topic "Bolstering Competitiveness and National Security: The Role of Intellectual Property in Advancing Technology & Innovation Leadership". This discussion highlighted the strategic importance of maintaining a leading technological position, focusing on key areas such as artificial intelligence, quantum computing and advanced telecommunications.

ICI Bucharest actively participated in the discussions dedicated to these topics, contributing with its expertise in the field of technology and public policies. This involvement underscores the institute's commitment to supporting international dialogue and promoting innovative solutions to today's challenges.
