ICI Bucharest organized the first edition of the international conference in the field of cyber diplomacy

Today, May 17, 2022, the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics - ICI Bucharest, through its Cyber Diplomacy Center, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, organized the first edition of the international conference on cyber diplomacy - "Building global digitalization: creating trust & security through cyber diplomacy".

The event took the form of a high-level discussion forum, covering the current state and trends of global digitization and the risks and challenges in cyberspace. Participants in this conference were leaders and decision-makers from academia, the public and private sectors, and security experts, representing more than 35 countries.

The agenda of the conference included current topics, such as: "Global digitalisation – opportunities and risks. The need for cyber diplomacy", "Cyber security – A multistakeholder approach", "Security risks in cyber space. Hybrid threats and interference", "Emerging technologies: tools for progress or disruption?", "The importance of Human Capital & Capacity Building" and "Trust and security in cyber space. Global cooperation".

Through this event, the National Institute for Research & Development in Informatics took another significant step towards better integration in the international space of research and development of the information society. The conference's purpose was to facilitate regional and international cooperation through cyber diplomacy.
