ICI Bucharest discussed cybersecurity for hospitals at HealthTech Forum 2024

ICI Bucharest, as an official partner of HealthTech Forum 2024, contributed significantly to the discussions held at the Palace of the Parliament in Bucharest. Adrian-Victor Vevera, the general director of ICI Bucharest, participated in the panel "Cybersecurity in Smart Hospitals: Best Practices and Future Trends", where he discussed the challenges and solutions in the field of cyber security dedicated to the digital infrastructure of hospitals.

Adrian-Victor Vevera emphasized the importance of adopting advanced security measures to protect patient data and ensure the continuity of medical services. In his statement, he highlighted the challenges hospitals face in the context of rapid digitization: "In an era where technology brings about fundamental transformations, hospitals are exposed to unprecedented cyber risks. We must develop and implement robust security solutions that protect not only sensitive patient data but also the uninterrupted operation of medical equipment and systems. Cybersecurity is no longer just an option, but a critical component," said Adrian-Victor Vevera.

Also, the general director of ICI Bucharest discussed the need for security standards adapted to the specific needs of smart hospitals and the importance of collaboration between medical and IT institutions to develop efficient and secure solutions.

"Collaboration is key. Building a network of expertise between hospitals, technology providers, and cybersecurity experts is vital. Only through a unified approach can we ensure that hospitals are prepared to face cyber threats, thus protecting patients and supporting innovation in the healthcare field," added Adrian-Victor Vevera.

ICI Bucharest's participation in the HealthTech Forum underlined the institution's commitment to supporting the safe and sustainable digital transformation of the Romanian healthcare system, demonstrating openness to the implementation of cyber security strategies adapted to the needs of all those interested.
