ICI Bucharest participated, as a partner in the European ECYBRIDGE project, at the Digital Unity in Europe: Futureproofing Against Next-Gen Cyber event, held on January 15, 2026, in a hybrid format.
The event, organized by the Maritime University of Constanta as part of the ECYBRIDGE initiative, brought together decision-makers, national and European authorities in the field of cybersecurity, representatives of the defense sector, academia, industry, start-ups, and SMEs, providing a framework for strategic dialogue on strengthening European cyber resilience in the context of accelerated technological transformations and emerging geopolitical challenges.
ICI Bucharest was represented by a speaker at the "Science, Development, and Innovation in Cybersecurity" panel, contributing to the discussions on the role of research, development, and innovation in advancing next-generation and dual-use cybersecurity technologies. The intervention highlighted the importance of integrating artificial intelligence-based solutions, advanced threat detection and response mechanisms, and measures to secure cloud infrastructure and cyber-physical systems across civil, defense, and hybrid contexts.
During the event, participants analyzed concrete ways to align public policies with technological maturity and operational implementation, emphasizing the need to strengthen cooperation among institutions, academia, and the innovation ecosystem to develop sustainable cyber capabilities at the European level.
