Access to high-performance computing infrastructure, artificial intelligence services and specialised expertise is becoming increasingly important for research, businesses and public administration. These topics are being discussed from 22 to 24 September at EuroHPC User Days 2026, organised in Dublin by the European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking – EuroHPC JU. For ICI Bucharest, these priorities are directly linked to projects in which the institute is already involved. Through RO AI Factory, ICI Bucharest is the Hosting Entity for the high-performance computing infrastructure dedicated to artificial intelligence, a project funded by EuroHPC JU and under implementation since 1 September 2026.
At the same time, ICI Bucharest’s involvement in BSC AI Factory and the activities carried out through the National Competence Centre in HPC – RoNCC, developed under the EuroCC project, contribute to connecting organisations in Romania to European infrastructure, services, expertise and opportunities in HPC and AI.
These areas are also reflected in the EuroHPC User Days agenda: HPC infrastructure for AI, access to computing resources, user services and skills development. ICI Bucharest’s participation in Dublin continues this engagement and the dialogue with organisations developing and using EuroHPC infrastructure across Europe. The EuroHPC User Days 2026 sessions can be followed live here.
