ICI Bucharest hosted the online workshop “Natural Language Processing (NLP): Text Classification, Entity Recognition, Summarization & Large Language Models” on Wednesday, 7 October 2026, as part of the BSC AI Factory project.
Adrian-Victor Vevera, General Director of ICI Bucharest, participated as a keynote speaker at Quantum Innovation Summit 2026, held from 28 to 30 September in Dubai. The event brought together specialists, representatives of public institutions, researchers, and technology companies in a programme dedicated to developing quantum technologies and their connection to artificial intelligence, computing infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
Researchers and companies in Romania will be able to develop and test artificial intelligence solutions using the infrastructure and expertise provided through RO AI Factory. The project, for which ICI Bucharest serves as the Hosting Entity, aims to reduce barriers to accessing advanced computing resources, including for start-ups and small and medium-sized enterprises.
Access to computing resources, support for developing artificial intelligence models, and specialist training were the main areas addressed by Adrian-Victor Vevera, General Director of ICI Bucharest, at Fintech Moldova Conference 2026. The event took place on 2 October 2026 at Chișinău Arena, bringing together representatives from finance, technology, business, and public authorities.
Artificial intelligence governance, the digitalization of public administration, digital identity, digital infrastructure and cybersecurity were at the centre of the forum organized by the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest at the Palace of Parliament, in partnership with the Government of the Republic of Korea and under the High Patronage of the Senate of Romania.
Access to high-performance computing infrastructure, artificial intelligence services and specialised expertise is becoming increasingly important for research, businesses and public administration. These topics are being discussed from 22 to 24 September at EuroHPC User Days 2026, organised in Dublin by the European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking – EuroHPC JU.
