Overall objectives of the project

  • analysis of the European context in the field of cyber security;
  • analysis of the national context in the field of cyber security;
  • analyzing the relevant factors regarding national capabilities in the field of cyber security;
  • applying the methodology and identifying the needs and / or possibilities for developing national capabilities;
  • identification of possible funding sources whose attraction allows the implementation of identified measures to develop national cyber security capabilities;
  • analyzing how the measures for the development of national capabilities identified can be incorporated into existing and / or proposed legislation, strategies, policies, etc.

Project description

The project finds its usefulness through technical and scientific substantiation of strategies for the development of normative acts on cyber security. The area of ​​cyber security needs to evolve faster than ever, at the rate required by the spread of connected devices, services and people with access to applications and information.

To identify the way to develop national capabilities in the field of cyber security, the first step is the analysis of the European framework, followed by the national framework in the field of cyber security, based on elements such as: public policies and strategies in the field of cyber security, institutions with responsibilities including specialized cyber security response structures, their tasks and capabilities, cyber security culture, cyber security education and training, including cyber security exercises, cyber security research, legislative framework, technologies and standards in the field, cooperation in the field of cyber security. The final stage of the study is the analysis of how the measures for developing the national capabilities identified can be incorporated into existing and / or proposed normative acts, strategies, policies, etc.
