Study on adaptive recognition systems in early recognition of cyber attacks on state resources

Project Manager: Dr. Eng. Radu Marius BONCEA – Scientific Researcher III

Overall objectives of the project

  • identification of national critical infrastructures;
  • analyzing and identifying cyber-attacks on critical infrastructures;
  • description of adaptive cybernetic recognition systems;
  • developing a reference architecture for an adaptive cyber-attack recognition system in its incipient phase using "intelligent software agents."

Project description

The project aims to develop studies on adaptive early detection systems for cyber attacks on critical infrastructures and to develop a reference architecture for an adaptive intelligent software system.

The project has a high degree of complexity, both through the proposed objectives and the various activities to be carried out to meet the objectives, taking into account the technological challenges described above. The project finds its usefulness through the scientific substantiation of the proposed solutions and their technical analysis, showing that the implementation of the proposed reference architecture and the operationalization of the final solution is beneficial for both public authorities and citizens.

Results

  • theoretical contributions on adaptive cybernetic recognition systems on critical infrastructures;
  • developing a reference architecture on the development of adaptive systems capable of recognizing cyber attacks on critical infrastructures in their incipient phases;
  • developing a set of functional requirements for an adaptive cybernetic recognition system that can be a starting point for developing an alternative software architecture.
