Overall objective of the project

highlighting the potential of research, development and innovation in ICT to support the capitalization of the advantages of smart specialization (SS) at national level.

Project description

The project implementation plan was structured in three annual phases, namely:

selection of RDI-ICT topics relevant for smart specialization sectors;
establishing the portfolio of generic ICT solutions (with a wide area of applicability) for the analyzed RDI-ICT topics;
recommendations on the use of portfolio solutions for the development of innovative ICT products and services in the SS sectors.

Results

analysis reports for the relevant RDI-ICT topics on all smart specialization sectors, based on 144 recent bibliographical references (phase I);
portfolio of 12 generic ICT solutions, specific to the analyzed RDI-ICT topics (phase II);
examples for the 3 categories of innovative ICT products and services, based on portfolio solutions, as well as recommendations for use (phase III).
