The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest had the honour of receiving the visit of Professor Joe Francom from Utah Tech University, in a context of strengthening international relations in the field of research and technological innovation.
During the visit, the institute’s research and development facilities were presented, emphasising practical laboratories dedicated to Virtual Reality, the Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence.
The discussions between Professor Francom and Adrian-Victor Vevera, General Director of ICI Bucharest, focused on identifying common directions for future collaboration. These potential partnerships aim to create international projects that mutually benefit the institutions and specialists involved.

Only one day is left until the Digital Innovation Summit Bucharest (DISB) 2025, an event organized by the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest from April 8–11 at the Palace of Parliament in Bucharest. Over 200 speakers from over 30 countries, government officials, industry leaders, emerging technology experts and academics will contribute to defining strategic directions for a safer and more sustainable digital future.
