The meeting of the general director of ICI Bucharest with the director of the National Cyber Security Agency of the Republic of Moldova

The General Director of the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics (ICI Bucharest), Adrian-Victor Vevera, had a meeting on Thursday, March 28, 2024, with the Director of the National Cyber Security Agency of the Republic of Moldova, Mihai Lupașcu, in order to strengthen cooperation in the field of cyber security.

"In a global context marked by a significant increase in cyber threats, critical infrastructure and IT systems are vulnerable to increasingly sophisticated attacks, which makes a close and effective collaboration between the institutions responsible for cyber security in Romania and the Republic of Moldova necessary. We are convinced that by working together and implementing common protection measures, we will be able to effectively combat cyber threats and ensure a safer cyberspace for the citizens of both states." said Adrian-Victor Vevera, general director of ICI Bucharest.

The meeting facilitated an exchange of views on the challenges and opportunities generated by the proliferation of cyber threats, addressing topics such as the exchange of information and expertise on cyber threats, the development of joint training and education programs in the field of cyber security, and cooperation in the field of research and development of cyber security solutions.
