The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest received a visit from a group of students who are carrying out internships at the National Commission for Nuclear Activities Control – CNCAN this summer.
The visit was attended by young people from technical faculties of the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest: Faculty of Energy Engineering, Faculty of Automatic Control and Computers, Faculty of Industrial Engineering and Robotics and Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics.
They learned about the activities carried out in ICI Bucharest’s innovation laboratories and some of the projects developed in areas such as artificial intelligence, robotics, Internet of Things, cybersecurity, and digital transformation.
The program included the presentation of research projects, the infrastructures available at the institute and robotic prototypes made by ICI Bucharest teams. The visit gave them the opportunity to see how the technologies they study at the faculty are used in real projects. They also discussed research activities with the institute's specialists, the skills needed in technical fields, and professional development opportunities.
Dr. eng. Adrian-Victor Vevera, General Director of the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest, met with Radu Brașoveanu, Director of Digital Solutions at PPC Romania, to prepare a memorandum of cooperation between the two organisations.
