ICI Bucharest signed a partnership agreement with Eviden Technologies SRL

The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest announces the signing of a partnership agreement with Eviden Technologies SRL, a company with expertise in digital transformation and advanced technologies. The agreement marks the beginning of a strategic collaboration aimed at supporting the development of joint research, innovation, and technological implementation projects, with a direct impact on the digitalisation of public administration and the Romanian economy.

The document was signed by Adrian-Victor Vevera, General Director of ICI Bucharest, and on behalf of Eviden Technologies SRL by Diana Sipos, Country Manager of the company, during an official meeting held at the institute’s headquarters, where the main areas of collaboration and the next steps for the operationalisation of this agreement were discussed.

Through this partnership, the two organisations aim to leverage complementary skills to develop initiatives in priority areas, such as digital transformation and smart public services, high-performance infrastructure, artificial intelligence and advanced software solutions, as well as emerging technologies with applicability in critical sectors.

“The signing of this agreement with Eviden Technologies SRL represents an important step in strengthening the national digital innovation ecosystem. By combining our R&D expertise with the partner's technological capabilities and industrial experience, we will accelerate the implementation of advanced solutions for public administration and the broader economic environment. We aim for this partnership to generate concrete projects with real impact, in areas such as artificial intelligence, high-performance infrastructures and cybersecurity, directly contributing to Romania’s digital transformation,” said the General Director of ICI Bucharest.

The agreement underlines ICI Bucharest’s determination to strengthen its collaborations with relevant industry partners to boost technology transfer and support the development of national innovation capacity. At the same time, the partnership with Eviden Technologies SRL aims to deliver projects aligned with the current requirements of the digital society, contributing to the development of a modern, secure and high-performance development environment.

Today, 1 September 2026, the implementation of the “Romanian EuroHPC AI Factory at ICI Bucharest” – RO AI Factory project officially begins, under Grant Agreement No. 101314645, funded by the European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU) through the HORIZON-JU-EUROHPC-2025-AI call. The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest plays an important role in implementing the initiative, serving as the Hosting Entity for RO AI Factory.
