ICI Bucharest signed a cooperation protocol with the National Institute of Administration

Today, March 2, 2023, the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics (ICI Bucharest) received the visit of the delegation of the National Institute of Administration, signing the cooperation protocol between the two institutes. Mr. Adrian Victor Vevera, the general director of ICI Bucharest and Mr. Alexandru-Mihai Ghigiu, the president of the National Institute of Administration, signed the document.

The primary purpose of this collaboration is to develop courses for the professional training of civil servants, as well as to carry out joint research-innovation activities in the field of public administration and to organize events on topics of interest to public administration.

During the meeting, topics such as efficiency in public administration, quality standards regarding professional training, and unitary management of continuous training activities were discussed. At the same time, it was proposed the development of a training program designed to train skills and develop skills that would keep pace with the requirements of a modern and high-performing public administration in the context of digitization and cyber threats.

The National Institute for Research-Development in Informatics - ICI Bucharest represents the most important research-development and innovation Institute in the field of Information and Communication Technologies in Romania. The Training and Continuous Professional Training Center within the Institute aims to promote innovation, to ensure the optimal framework for personal and professional development by training and perfecting skills specific to the IT&C field, skills adapted to the requirements of a competitive market.

The National Institute of Administration (INA) was re-established by Government Ordinance no. 23/2016 as a public institution of national interest with legal personality, a specialized body of the central public administration. According to the Government Decision no. 645/2020, the National Institute of Administration operates under the authority of the Ministry of Public Works, Development, and Administration. The role of the Institute is to implement the strategic directions of the Government regarding the efficiency of the public administration by professionalizing the personnel from the central and local public administration.
