ICI Bucharest received the visit of Mr. Sorin Mierlea, the president of InfoCons

ICI Bucharest received today, November 3, 2023, the visit of Mr. Sorin Mierlea, the president of InfoCons. On the sidelines of this meeting, Mr. Adrian-Victor Vevera, the general director of ICI Bucharest, appreciated that the two institutions can build a safer digital world which puts the consumer first.

Discussions between the two sides focused on projects to reduce the vulnerability of consumers in the digital age, who are exposed to threats ranging from online scams to identity theft. In order to protect consumers, collaboration between institutions is important to inform them about the dangers to which they are exposed.

At the same time, in the context of the visit, the general director of ICI Bucharest thanked Mr. Sorin Mierlea for participating in the sixth edition of the Critical Infrastructure Protection Forum, which took place on April 26-27, 2023, extending the invitation for the next edition that will take place next year.

This visit represents a significant step towards strengthening the collaboration between ICI Bucharest and InfoCons, opening the way to future joint projects and initiatives. By combining their expertise in the fields of IT and consumer protection, the two institutions have the chance to significantly contribute to the promotion of user security in the online environment for the benefit of Romanian citizens.
