ICI Bucharest took part on Friday, 7 August 2026, represented by Adrian-Victor Vevera, Director General, in the ceremony held at the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Bucharest to mark the 59th anniversary of the establishment of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia.
The event brought together representatives of the ASEAN Committee in Bucharest, comprising the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia, the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines, the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, the Embassy of the Kingdom of Thailand and the Embassy of Malaysia, alongside guests from the diplomatic and institutional communities.
The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest has been awarded the HR Excellence in Research distinction by the European Commission. This recognition is granted to organizations that adopt and implement the principles of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers through the Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R).

These are some of the questions that will be addressed during the online workshop “From AI Governance to Evidence: Demonstrating EU AI Act Compliance”, organized by the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest, on 17 November.
