ICI Bucharest participated in the second session of the Cooperation Commission between the Government of Romania and the Government of the United Arab Emirates

Between June 21-22, 2022, the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics (ICI Bucharest) participated in the second session of the Cooperation Commission between the Government of Romania and the Government of the United Arab Emirates, which took place in Abu Dhabi.

The session of the Cooperation Commission took place in the context of the working visit made by the Prime Minister of Romania, Mr. Nicolae-Ionel Ciuca, to the United Arab Emirates, between June 20-21, 2022.

During the bilateral meetings, the discussions focused on innovative projects in strategic areas of interest regarding artificial intelligence and blockchain, as well as exchanges of good practices between ICI Bucharest and relevant UAE authorities. At the same time, the topics covered cooperation in cyber diplomacy, blockchain, and digital forensics.

In the margins of the second session of the Intergovernmental Cooperation Commission, it was assessed the implementation stage of the decisions agreed upon at the first edition, held in Bucharest in April 2018. At the same time, emphasis was placed on identifying new opportunities for areas of common interest, such as economics, maritime and air transport, energy, IT&C, cybersecurity, agriculture and food security, environment, and aerospace research.
