Adrian-Victor Vevera, General Director of the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest, met with His Excellency Mr Qudsi Osmanov, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Romania, at the Embassy.
The discussion continued the dialogue between ICI Bucharest and the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Romania, focusing on ongoing projects and new opportunities for collaboration. An important part of the meeting was dedicated to cooperation in cybersecurity and cyber diplomacy. In this context, the Cyber Diplomacy Center of ICI Bucharest was mentioned, based on which the Cyber Diplomacy Twinning Center was subsequently established, together with partners from Azerbaijan.
Also, Cyber Polygon, the cyber range platform dedicated to the energy sector and approved under the NATO Science for Peace and Security Program, was mentioned as another example of a successful project resulting from this collaboration. Adrian-Victor Vevera emphasised that direct dialogue with international partners is extremely important for the development of applied projects, especially in areas such as cybersecurity, digital infrastructures and regional cooperation.
