The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest hosted the ceremony for signing a Letter of Intent on cooperation in IT&C by representatives of the Ministry for Information Society – MSI Romania, and respectively, the Ministry for Science, ICT and Future Planning – MISP South Korea.
During the same ceremony, representatives of ICI Bucharest and National Information Society Agency – NIA South Korea signed a Collaboration Agreement the foundation and operation of Romania – South Korea IT Cooperation Center – ITCC; the Center has been inaugurated by His Excellency Mr. Park Hyo-Sung, the ambassador of the Republic of Korea in Romania.
The Center will promote the information society in South Korea and Romania through joint projects in the field of IT, in the mutual benefit (providing technical assistance and consulting for the development of IT&C in Romania and South Korea, sharing and exchanging technology and expertise in IT&C, etc.).and improving transparency on national level.
The Parties will identify a series of project of mutual interest that could involve experts from both institutions. Each party’s participation, in terms of resources and also involvement will be decided upon identification of such projects.
