Prahova Valley

It is the most frequented mountainous area in Romania, with the greatest concentration of mountain resorts, among which Sinaia (800 m. altitude), which was the summer residence of Romania's royal family who built there the Peles Castle (today a museum), Busteni (Valea Alba), Predeal (1,035 m. altitude), Poiana Brasov - the most important resort for winter sports (1,030 m. altitude), lying in the immediate vicinity of the Brasov town.
