The Czech Prime Minister: " We are ready to contribute with all our experience to assist Romania in the European Union pre-adherence process. It is a complex process and you are most welcome to share our experience. Secondly let my point out that our commercial relations have increased three-fold in the latest time interval which is very encouraging for the over-all relations between the two countries.
The Romanian Prime Minister : " The good news for us is that commercial relations have increased three-fold. The bad news is that Romania has a big deficit in its commercial relations with the Czech Republic. I would like to see more Romanian companies doing business with those in the Czeck Republic and I think that one of the domains of interest for that country is our power export, reports RADIO ROMANIA ACTUALITATI.

A few specifications referring to the radio station RADIO ROMANIA ACTUALITATI after the note related to it and released by the daily EVENIMENTUL ZILEI
In the main newscast of the morning, at 07;28 on 15 March 2004, the Manager of the radio station RADIO ROMANIA ACTUALITATI Viorel Popescu has said the following in connection with the note released by EVENIMENTUL ZILEI, a note which refers to the afore mentioned radio station.
Viorel Popescu: The note released by EVENIMENTUL ZILEI is part of a slandering campaign against the public national radio network, hence against RADIO ROMANIA ACTUALITATI, promoted with obstinacy by the managerial board of the daily EVENIMENTUL ZILEI and by Cornel Nistorescu personally, as Manager of the paper.
After repeatedly refusing to publish the answers of the ROMANIAN RADIO BROADCASTING CORPORATION in the wake of a series of ill-intended articles against the public national radio network the paper which is edited by Mr. Cornel Nistorescu tackles the issue of censorship.
The publicity ad which EVENIMENTUL ZILEI sent us to be broadcast by RADIO ROMANIA ACTUALITATI includes attacks against individuals and brings prejudice to the dignity, honor and private life as well as against the right to their own image of individuals including public persons, thus infringing upon Article 5, Paragraph 5 of the Law on the Organization and Operation of the ROMANIAN RADIO BROADCASTING CORPORATION.
As a consequence we have decided to cease broadcasting this ad until it is modified in accordance with the editorial principles promoted by the public national radio network.
The stand taken by us is a natural professional reaction. It is also for the first time our radio corporation reacts to suburban attacks which also misinform public opinion.
We do believe that we have the duty to correctly inform the listeners of Romania and of other countries.
The attacks against us come from Mr. Cornel Nistorescu that has some stock of a radio station. In our view Mr. Nistorescu has now conflicting interests as he promotes his own radio station indirectly by using the paper EVENIMENTUL ZILEI.
We also think that it is relevant for the matter at hand to recall that the slandering campaign against RADIO ROMANIA ACTUALITATI perpetrated by EVENIMENTUL ZILEI augmented its scope after the Council of Administration of ROMANIAN RADIO BROADCASTING CORPORATION, turned down a proposal to release a supplement together with the paper mentioned before. At the same time some of the media-persons working for the same newspaper have applied for positions with RADIO ROMANIA ACTUALITATI; however due to their evidently low professional level they were turned down.
