Strategy in the Domain of Public Administration

National Strategy of Public Servants was presented at a Seminar which unfolded at Predeal and organized by the Cabinet of Romania in collaboration with the PHARE Programme of Financial Assistance. ROMANIAN RADIO BROADCASTING C0RPORATION reports that Romania obtained financing worth 14 million euros for the implementation of five PHARE programmes in the domain of public administration.


The Bucharest Cabinet Says They Will Not Negociate with the Royal House for the Retrocession of Former Buildings and Properties

General Secretary of the Bucharest Cabinet Serban Mihailescu said that the Executive of Bucharest excludes possible negociations with former sovereign of Romania King Mihai as the entire issue of retrocession is part of legal framework and the law is being implemented in Romania. There are 50,000 requests for retrocession of possessions and a Government Office with this aim in view will be set up shortly to deal with the solving of these issues, reports ROMANIAN RADIO BROADCASTING CORPORATION.


Events and Manifestations of National Unity .Tebea: In Memory of Hero of 1848 Revolution Avram Iancu

Thousands of people participated in the events devoted to the memory of the leader of the 1848 Revolution of Romanians of Transylvania Avram Iancu; the festivities took place in his native village of Tebea that for several days resounded with songs and poetry as well as with testimonies of the Revolution of 1848.


Targoviste: 400 Years Since the Death of Prince Michael the Valliant

Patriarch of Romanian Church Teoctist opened the memorial service at Dealul Monastery and Abbey near Targoviste devoted to the commemoration of the death of Prince Michael the Valliant. Attending were also officials of this country among whom President Ion Iliescu, Prime Minister Adrian Nastase, Chairman of the Chamber of Deputies Valer Dorneanu, King Michael who is the former sovereign of Romania, former President Emil Constantinescu, Cabinet members and other officials. The equastrian statue of Prince Michael the Valliant was unveiled, reports ROMANIAN RADIO BROADCASTING CORPORATION.
