Weekly Session of the Cabinet of Romania


In Tuesday's session the Cabinet passed a number of measures directed at putting an end to money laundering in keeping with the decisions of the Council of Justice and Interior Ministers of the European Union with the view to the assimilation of the 40 reccomendations of the group of work in the domain of financial actions for preventing money laundering. At the same time the Cabinet of Bucharest approved the document of position regarding the chapter JUSTICE AND INTERNAL AFFAIRS with measures and pledges assumed by the Romanian State for securing frontiers and for the lifting of visa requirements for the Romanian citizens that travel to the Schengen area countries. Included in this chapter are the measures linked to asylum, drug abuse prevention and curbing, organized crime provention and fighting, combatting of corruption and terrorism. In these domains of activity the Romanian Cabinet does not require any transition interval and pledges to harmonize internal legislation wiarn in Spain
A delegation of the Authoritiy for Privatization is in Madrid for the Romanian - Spanish Economic Forum for the promotion of investments. The event takes place as part of the European Business Week. The Romanian delegation presents on this occasion the stage of privatization of Romanian state companies as well as the offer of business for foreign investors. The head of the Romanian delegation who is Secretary of State George Musliu said that Romania is present at the forum with an important offer of business, with the aim of giving a new dimension to economic cooperation with Spain, says ROMANIAN RADIO BROADCASTING CORPORATION.
