National Holiday of Romania
As already reported in the latest news cast in English of RADOR that took place last Saturday the National Holiday of Romania was celebrated all over the country by military parades and folklore shows.
In Bucharest President Ion Iliescu and Prime Minister Adrian Nastase alongside other officials attended the festivity organized at the tomb of the Unknown Soldier where they also watched the parade of the Guard of Honor. The President of Romania Ion Iliescu made a speech stressing the importance of 1 December as the National Day of Romania when the national unitary Romanian state was formed. The President of Romania also said that now 12 years after the Revolution of 1989 many Romanians have a rather hard life to live and urged the people to unite still more and take further action for a healty economy.

- Bucharest, the capital city of Romania is hosting the Ministerial Council of OSCE with more than 50 Foreign Ministers present including the United States Secretary of State Colin Powell while ROMANIAN RADIO BROADCASTING CORPORATION has covered live the opening of the debates with the addresses of President Ion Iliescu and Prime Minister Adrian Nastase, Foreign Minister Mircea Geoana and Adrian Severin, Chairman of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.
- The Agenda of President Ion Iliescu : talks with the French Foreign Minister Hubert Vedrine at the Palace of the Romanian Parliament, participation at the opening of the debates of the Ministerial Council of OSCE also at the Palace of the Romanian Parliament. In the afternoon the President of Romania receives and has talks with the Foreign Minister of Germany, Joschka Fischer, then he has talks with the European Commissioner for Foreign Relations Chriss Patten, followed by talks with the Foreign Affairs Minister of the Vatican Jean Louis Tauran.
