By a decision of the National Council the Humanist Party of Romania - PUR - added to its title the syntagma " social - liberal ", as the doctrine of political humanism is of social and liberal orientation. The new complete title of the party is the Humanist Social Liberal Party and the logo is a balance. This is sanctioned by a final decision of the Bucharest Court of Justice, according to a communique released in Bucharest. The option does not represent a change of orientation but a more firm placing of the party on the coordinates on which is has been placed since its inception in 1991, specifies the document which further adds that the force of social - liberalism is the strengthening of social cohesion by the development of the middle class, concurrently with the increase of the individual responsibility by the stimulation of private initiative, reports ROMANIAN RADIO BROADCASTING CORPORATION.

Vasile Lupu said at a press conference on Sunday that the organization of the extraordinary congress on Saturday took place according to the statutes of the party. At the same time a special commission noted the fact that the Ciorbea faction is illegal and its documents and statements are as illegal as the faction itself, after the resignation of Professor Marga from the office of President of PNTCD. Vasile Lupu said that the leading bodies of PNTCD elected on Saturday are to administer, on the one hand, the assets which were taken back from the Ciorbea faction and on the other hand they have to prepare the setting up of a new party which will be named PARTY OF CHRISTIAN DEMOCRACY. In connection with the relations of the party with the Christian Democratic Internationale Vasile Lupu said it was up to the latter to note the legality or illegality of this political party. He said he hoped the programme of the party would be of a nature to allow its access to the International Forum.
Robert Richard Dorobantu remained an orphan after both his parents died in a car crash and he became a " case " after media in Romania printed that he would the heir of a fortune worth two million USD. The child is the only heir of his parents and he is the owner of an apartment here in Bucharest and of values worth about nine thousand USD. It is within the competence and responsibility of the Town Hall of Sector Two of Bucharest to take care of the child who for the time being is in the care of his grannie in the town of Constanta on the Black Sea Coast of Romania. By September 15 a decision will be made regarding the foster parents of Robert Dorobantu who is not an under-aged millionaire but still for whose adoption no less than ten requests were filed, reports ROMANIAN RADIO BROADCASTING CORPORATION.
This year's edition of the summer university of Izvorul Muresului on the theme ROMANIANS AND EUROATLANTIC INTEGRATION came to an end after seven days of debates and a fact finding trip to county Harghita. There were 130 young Romanian students that came to the Summer University from many countries of the world and had as professors, among others, high ranking men of the cloth from both Romania and from the neighboring countries, the Chairman of the Chamber of Deputies Valer Dorneanu and the NATO representative for South Eastern Europe Petre Roman. In the focus of debates was the finding of concrete solutions for the promotion of national values and assets, interethnic relations, cultural, linguistics and religious affirmation of the Romanian nation and of the ethnic communities living outside Romania, reports ROMANIAN RADIO BROADCASTING CORPORATION.
