STEFAN AUGUSTIN DOINAS

Neoclassical poet, affirmed in a spectacular manner after the 1989 revolution, is born in 1922, in Caporal Alexa village from Arad county. Studies filology at Cluj. Debut in Jurnalul literar of Calinescu (1939). Teacher in Caporal Alexa, Halmagiu and Gurahont. Doinas publishes late his first volume of poems Cartea mareelor, 1964. Some of his work: Omul cu compasul, Semintia lui Laokoon, Anotimpul discret, Interiorul unui poem, Lamentatii.
