The Palace Hall

The Press House

No, this is not the Lomonosov Palace in Moscow, but a building in Bucharest, built in keeping with the will of the former communist power, which wanted to imitate as closely as possible the Big Eastern Neighbour. The destiny of the Bucharest Palace has witnessed the reverse condition: it has become the Free Press House, which houses the editorial offices of the most important Romanian publications. The former symbol of the dictatorship has become the bastion of the freedom of opinion.

Exhibition Hall

Parliament House

The second largest building in the world, after the Pentagon, is located in Bucharest. Erected before 1989, to symbolize the power of a small country, this huge architectural creation is the Palace of Parliament, the headquarters of the Romanian legislative power. Its sumptuousness has attracted in the last decade hundreds of thousands of tourists amazed by its elegance and spaciousness. The magnificent rooms have housed a number of particularly important events such as the O.S.C.E. meeting and the Spring of New Allies.
